What is Domestic Abuse?
Domestic abuse is an incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening, degrading and violent behaviour, including sexual violence. Men and women can be victims of domestic abuse.
For the first time, a legal definition of domestic abuse was introduced as part of the Domestic Abuse Act, which became law in 2021. This act now recognises children who see, hear or experience the effects of abuse as victims in their own right.
Susanna Manrique is a trained Domestic Abuse Champion. If you think that you might be experiencing a form of domestic abuse, please do not hesitate to come and talk, we can help you, support you and help you with next steps.
