Scratch Jumping Game Step 5 @RRIS

Posted by on 01/04/2022

After all our hard work the game is finally finished! We added a score keeper from the Scratch video and we also decided that we needed to have a countdown timer so that the game didn’t last too long and it was just perfect! We did a carousel so that everyone played each other’s games. We reviewed the games and talked about what we liked and didn’t like and how the games could be improved. Even though we all used the same code, some games were easier or more difficult to play and we discussed how the code could be changed to alter their playability. Some people changed the height of the jump, others altered the glide time and people also changed the size of their sprites.

“Using Scratch was really easy, there were so many different things that you could do to make it different.”

“I am going to look at some of the other tutorials myself and invent my own game to share with everyone.”

“I didn’t think that I would be able to make a game all by myself, I thought it would be too hard. I think I might like to make games for my job.”
