We take Safeguarding of children very seriously. Our policy and procedures are in place to ensure that every child in school is protected from harm. We are part of the Operation Encompass scheme to support those who may have been exposed to Domestic Abuse. You can find out more about our involvement here. If you or someone you know needs help in relation to Domestic Abuse, you can get help now.
Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone in the school. If you are concerned by anything you see or hear on the school premises please come to the school office where a member of staff will find the Designated Safeguarding Lead, or a deputy, for you to talk to.
If you are concerned with anything you see or hear outside of school you should refer this directly to Children’s Services and we would be grateful if you could also let us know. You can phone the Children’s Services team on 0344 800 8020 or contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.
Further advice can be found in our policies, and also on the NSPCC website (www.nspcc.org.uk). If you wish to discuss any concerns at school please do not hesitate to ring. However, if you feel a child is in immediate danger never wait until school reopens. You can call the police on 999.
